If you are contemplating a trip to Disney World, you’ve probably noticed that tickets are expensive! Today, we are going to help you figure out exactly how to buy Walt Disney World tickets quickly and cheaply! Hopefully, these tips can assist you in making the process quick and easy!
We are going to discuss the three main ways that we recommend buying tickets. Then we will discuss a few things that can potentially get you discounts.
Discount Ticket Vendors
If you just want to purchase tickets, and aren’t looking at any packages through Disney World, we highly recommend using one of Disney’s approved vendors. There is no risk, and you will be able to save a bit of money. Granted, we aren’t talking about major discounts here, but every little bit counts, right?
Best of Orlando – This is our favorite ticket vendor. Not only can they save you money on your tickets, they can also help you buy tickets to other local area attractions, and even help you save money on hotels! One thing we know, is that it’s very expensive to buy Disney tickets. So we don’t recommend buying tickets from second-hand sources such as Craigslist or Ebay. Best of Orlando is a reputable online business that you can be confident in trusting!
Buying Directly from Disney online
If you are heading to Orlando for a few days and just want to pop in to one of the resorts for a day or two, you can just go to Disney’s ticket section and purchase your tickets. You will obviously be required to pay full price, but it’s very easy to do, and at the very least, you can use this as a comparison against other prices you may find in the marketplace.
Combining tickets into a vacation package
When you stay at Disney for a number of days, the price of the tickets drops dramatically. Disney also has many deals and perks that are only available for Disney resort guests. The Disney Dining plan can allow you to enjoy the wonderful meals in the resort area. At certain times of the year, the dining plan is actually a free addition! While staying at resorts can be quite expensive, there are some very inexpensive packages at the All-Star resorts if money is your primary concern.
Another perk to staying on-site is the free transportation. You can ride the buses and monorails free of charge. Finally, Disney has Extra Magic Hours. These are additional operating hours only available to resort guests! We like to go “all-in” for our Disney vacations, so we often buy these packages!
There are a couple things that can get you additional discounts!
AAA Membership – You can usually get a small discount through your local AAA office. Give them a call and see what deals they have. At times some have found that it’s worth it to actually JOIN AAA for a year just to get the discounts.
Military – There are many discounts available to members of the military, as well as retired members of the military. A great resource for all information on Military savings is http://www.militarydisneytips.com
